Richard Levinson and William Link.

Emily Windus

Directed by:
Michael A. Muller

Synopsis: It's opening night and the beautiful leading lady, who was also the playwright's fiancée, was murdered! As the actors, producer, director and others connected with the show seek the truth the tension grows and reaches the boiling point with surprising revelations, countered by others even more surprising. The dazzling, yet basically logical twists build to a climax and solution that are theatrically stunning!

Director Michael A. Muller is seeking the following:
9 Adult Males Ages mid 20s to 50+
6 Adult Females Ages mid 20s to 50+

Character Age

Alex Dennison (M) 30s-50s Broadway playwright. Attractive, intelligent, forceful, charming, witty and sophisticated. Must be able to express the full range of emotions as well: being in love, grief, vengeance, desperation, etc.
NOTE: This is an extremely large role and the actor will be on stage almost the entire performance.
Karen Daniels (F) 30s An actress. Ranges from sweet to ambitious and conniving.
Monica Wells (F) 30s-early 40s A movie star who seeks to legitimize her acting career by starring in a Broadway play. Must be able to express the full range of emotions: being in love, fear, desperation, disdain, etc.
Bella Lamb (F) 40s plus A Broadway producer; Alex's friend. Successful, confident, no-nonsense.
Dave Matthews (M) 30s-40s A "serious" actor who is not quite as talented or as good-looking as he thinks he is. VERY full of himself.
Frank Heller (M) 30s-40s An out of work actor impersonating an officer.
Leo Gibbs (M) 20s-30s An actor/comedian. Awkward & obnoxious, especially around Karen, his ex.
Lloyd Andrews (M) 40s plus A director, although not quite Broadway-caliber. A brisk, capable manner.
Sally Bean (F) 20s Alex's assistant: young, optimistic, idealistic, recently-graduated, and in the Big Apple for the first time. Seems very innocent amongst the sophisticated theatre people.
Loretta (F) 30s-40s Efficient, no-nonsense. Will also play Female Cop.
Female Cop (F) 30s-40s
Ernie (M) 30s-40s Theatre janitor. Will also play other male roles (Male Cop, Mr. Santoro, Lt. McElroy).
