Synopsis: It's Christmas Eve, and Mrs. Frump, the director of the Peaceful Valley Orphanage, is planning what she believes will be the most special Christmas ever for her kids. She's borrowed an old bus and arranged for each child to spend Christmas with a family in the area. Along the journey, they meet a traveling troubadour who's returning home for the holiday. It's an adventuresome ride, culminating in a Christmas even more special than Frump could have ever imagined.


Director Ed Hayden is seeking the following:
1 Adult Male Age 18
2-5 Adult Males Ages 35+
2-5 Adult Females Ages 35+
8+ Boys/Girls Ages 8-14



Character Age


The Editor 40+ Writing a story for the Christmas Edition of his newspaper.
Frump 50s to 60s Director of the Peaceful Valley Orphanage.
Thomas 18 High School senior and mechanical genius.
Sheriff Snodgrass 40s-50s Local lawman and tireless investigator.
The Busybodies (3) Adult Three harpies who make life difficult for Frump.
The Kids (8+) 8-14 Orphans, looking forward to a special family style holiday.
The Troubadour 20s-30s Traveling Folksinger
Darlene 20s-30s The troubadour's reluctant girlfriend.


Special Notes for Auditioners:
Auditioners will be asked to sing a short sample of a holiday song of their choice, and possibly one other at director's discretion. All auditioners will also do cold readings both by themselves and in groups.

September 10th from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 2019.

The show runs Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.
December 6th through December 22nd 2019.
There will be an additional matinee on Saturday December 14th at 2 p.m.
